My name is Sarah, or Norama if I’ve met you online.

For the last 7 years I’ve been a software developer for a private company in the US. Before that I was a mechanical designer for the previous 14 years.

I enjoy coding. I find it to be much more challenging and rewarding than the design work I did. It has a lot of opportunities to learn new and/or better ways to do things.

Video games are something that has been with me since I can remember. I got an Atari 2600 as a kid and it was such a huge thing for me. We then got a NES and my world was changed. I became instantly hooked, or addicted as my mother would say back then. Was she right? Maybe.

My first game memories with the NES were games like Mike Tyson’s Punch Out, Shadowgate, Xexyz, Crystalis, and of course Super Mario Brothers. For some reason we never really got the massively popular games, but the weird and off beat ones.

In 1991 my friend let me borrow Final Fantasy. After that I started burying myself in the JRPGs I could get at the time. Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior (Quest, now).

Since then I’ve owned most mainstream consoles. During that same time I’ve found myself playing games less and less for some odd reason.

That changed when I built myself a new gaming PC after wanting to do it for years and years.

These days I spend my time streaming Final Fantasy XI (Asura, Norama) and various other games on Twitch.

Feel free to send me a message either on Twitter or anywhere else.
